Multilateral Agreement RID 1/2013 – Acceptance of accreditations standards EN ISO/IEC 17020:2012 and EN ISO/IEC 17020/2004

I. GENERAL PROVISIONS MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND COOPERATION


Multilateral Agreement RID 1/2013 under application of Section 1.5.1 of the RID, regarding the change of reference to standard EN ISO/IEC 17020:2004 by the reference to standard EN ISO/IEC 17020:2012 (except clause 8.1.3).

(1) By derogation from provisions 1.8.6.8, 6.2.2.10, 6.2.3.6.1, 6.8.2.4.6, and special provisions TA4 and TT9 of 6.8.4, accreditations in accordance with either standard EN ISO/IEC 17020:2012 (except clause 8.1.3) or in accordance with standard EN ISO/IEC 17020/2004 will be accepted.

(2) This agreement shall be valid until February 28, 2015, for transport in the territories of contractual parties to the RID that have signed this agreement. If revoked prior to that date by any of the signatories, it shall be valid only for the transport of goods in the territories of contractual parties to the RID that have not revoked it.

This Agreement has been signed, to date, by the following countries: United Kingdom, Luxembourg, Sweden, France, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, Netherlands, and Latvia.
