MULTILATERAL AGREEMENT M 254
Under paragraph 1.5.1 of Annex A of the ADR, regarding the marking (placards) of containers used exclusively in a road transport operation
- By derogation of subsection 5.3.1.2, plates need not be affixed on containers that are used exclusively in a road transport operation, except those carrying dangerous goods of classes 1 or 7.
- Each consignment that is transported in accordance with its multilateral agreement shall be accompanied by a transport document in accordance with section 5.4.1, containing the following information:
«Transport of dangerous goods for road transport operation only (M254).»
- The other provisions of the ADR must be observed.
- This Agreement shall be valid until 31 December 2017 for carriage in the territories of those ADR Contracting Parties signatory to this agreement. If revoked by any of the signatories, it shall remain valid until the above date only in the territories of those Contracting Parties signatory to this Agreement which have not revoked it.
