RID 2013: Notification
January 1, 2013 edition of the RID Texts approved by the 50th meeting of the RID Committee of Experts in the Transport of Dangerous Goods (Malmö, November 21-25, 2011) for entry into force on January 1, 2013 The Secretariat has prepared a consolidated version of the RID amendments adopted for entry into force on January 1, 2013. This consolidated version should allow the Member States to commence the translation work of the amendments in due time. In this consolidated version of the amendment texts, several texts are placed in square brackets. These texts still need to be approved by the Committee of Experts at its 51st meeting (Bern, May 30-31, 2012). Among these are the modifications decided by the Joint RID/ADR/ADN Committee (Bern, March 19-23, 2012) for entry into force on January 1, 2013 (see document OTIF/RID/CE/2012/9). The following amendment texts are, therefore, only provisional in nature. In accordance with the second sentence of Article 35 § 3 of the COTIF 1999, which entered into force on July 1, 2006, the States shall be notified of the definitive modifications no later than July 31, 2012.
