ATTACHMENT G: ARTICLES PROHIBITED FROM TRANSPORT IN THE HOLD BAGGAGE

Explosive and Incendiary Substances and Devices: Explosive and incendiary substances and devices that may be used to cause serious injury or threaten the safety of the aircraft, such as:

  • Ammunition; except for ammunition transported according to the procedure described in this chapter and authorized by the Airport Weapons Inspection, with a weight limitation of 5 kgs;
  • Percussion caps;
  • Detonators and fuses;
  • Mines, grenades, and other military explosive charges;
  • Fireworks and other pyrotechnic articles;
  • Smoke canisters and smoke-generating cartridges; and
  • Dynamite, gunpowder, and explosives.

Additional Measures:

The competent authority may establish exemptions for the transportation of the listed articles, provided that national regulations allowing the transportation of the article are applied, and applicable safety standards are met.

Security personnel may deny the transportation of any hold baggage containing an article not listed in Attachment G that raises suspicion.

Dangerous Goods:

The above list does not affect explosive and incendiary substances and devices transported as cargo in accordance with the current Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air.

The above list does not include other substances whose shipment may be limited or prohibited according to the current Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air.
