The labeling of hazardous waste is regulated in Article 14 of Royal Decree 833/88 on hazardous waste. However, paragraphs 2, 3, and 4 of said article will be modified from June 1, 2015, as Directives 67/548/EEC and Directive 1999/45/EC, on which the current labeling of hazardous waste was based, are replaced by Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 on classification, packaging, and labeling of substances and mixtures (CLP), and therefore the nature of the risks in the labeling must be indicated in accordance with the aforementioned CLP Regulation.
