Multilateral Agreement M-273: Marking of Gas Cylinders

Multilateral Agreement M-273, in application of section 1.5.1 of the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR), regarding the marking of gas cylinders, made in Madrid on March 12, 2014.

Under application of section 1.5.1 of the ADR, regarding the marking of gas cylinders.

(1) By derogation from the provisions of subsection 5.2.1.1 of the ADR, gas cylinders marked with the UN number in accordance with the provisions of the ADR applicable until December 31, 2012, and which do not comply with the requirements of 5.2.1.1 regarding the size of the UN number and the letters «UN» applicable since January 1, 2013, may continue to be used until the next periodic inspection.

(2) This agreement shall be valid until June 30, 2018, for the carriage in those territories of the contracting parties to the ADR that have signed this Agreement. If revoked before that date by any of the signatories, it shall be valid only for the carriage of goods in those territories of contracting parties to the ADR signing this Agreement that have not revoked it.

This Agreement entered into force on March 12, 2014, the date of signature by the competent authority for the ADR in Spain.
