1.5.1.1: Temporary exemptions RAIL (RID)


RID 1.5.1.1: Temporary exemptions (special multilateral agreements) In accordance with RID 1.5.1.1, the competent authorities of the Member States may agree directly among themselves to authorize certain transports within their territory as a temporary exception to the provisions of RID. The competent authority that has initiated the temporary exception should notify the text of the exception to the OTIF Secretariat. The OTIF Secretariat publishes the text of the temporary exemption and the list of the Member States that have signed it. Each of the Member States is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided.
